Nickolas was born with a rare disorder called Cornelia De Lange Syndrom. When diagnosed, it was said that he would never walk, talk, or ride a bike, but the worst news was yet to come. His life expectancy was a mere six years. With many complications in his first days, he still seemed to pull through. Nick was a blessing and was continually treated as if he was no different from any other soul, because he wasn't. What happened over the years was what some will call a miracle. He was not just walking, but running by the age of two...and nothing pleases him more today than riding his motor bike, teasing his sisters, and being with his family. This summer Nick will turn seventeen!
